Hello and thank you for visiting Pinkyminky. Let me tell you a bit about myself!

My name is Jane, and I live in South Manchester, England, in a Victorian terraced house, with my husband and three children. We have two black cats, some guinea pigs, and a house rabbit called Ronnie.

Originally trained with a Masters in Fine Art (Sculpture and Printmaking), I worked extensively in schools and National Galleries and Museums coordinating and delivering projects for school, college and family groups. After having 3 children I returned to my studio and to my first love which is making my doodles and sketches into physical creations.

I make unique handmade toys from my own patterns and have a growing online business and a thriving stall at the wonderful Treacle Market in Macclesfield. I also stock  boutiques. 

I am very fortunate to have avid collectors of my toys in the Uk, and abroad..

I especially love the idea that my toys are best friends with a growing number of children all around the world and somewhere now any number of them could be enjoying a fabulous tea party (afternoon tea being another of my most favourite things) with cake and jam sandwiches and maybe a dash of fruit juice.

All of my toys are CE Marked, this being a legal requirement for selling toys within the EU. I am one of the founder members of the Sock Toy Association, which is a not for profit group set up to aid sock toy makers in CE Marking their toys.
